This is the 14th Nakshatra of zodiac, ruled by the fiery planet Mangala (Mars). It spans from 26°40' in Kanya (Virgo) to 6°40' in Tula (Libra). Thus the first two quarters of this Nakshatra fall in the sign Kanya (Virgo) while the last two quarters fall in the sign Tula (Libra).

Chitra born enjoy good health and always appear much younger than their actual age. They may appear rather thin and weak, but they have excellent stamina and muscle power. These people are gifted with power of intuition, a quality that is a must for any astrologer. Hence these people are suitable for any profession that requires forecasting over a longer period.
